Dark… Like Chocolate by Slagsmasklubben feat. ???
(Though I’m rather set on Mättshadows/Scötshadows, pronounced “Muhshadows/Scuhshadows,” as it hints at the inspiration).
We can’t walk to the gas station without writing a song about it. But this is the first time we’ve recorded one since like… 1999. Look out for the Youtube video.
Some of the words are kind of hard to hear, but the lyrics are so damn good. So here they are:
Walking down the street to buy some chocolate
Because our souls are dark like chocolate
We’re walking to the store in the dead of night
In an earth that’s stained by endless blight
We walked to the street
And stood on the corner
And the man that we saw
Was as dark as coal
We enter the store, to by some chocolate
Dark as chocolate; Dark as my soul
We see the light turn green to red
And it’s pleasing to remember that we’ll soon be dead
We walk in the shadows
We walk in the moonlight
We walk until we reach death’s shore
Crossing the bar, crossing the bar
Heading towards the conformist’s store
Crossing the bar, crossing the bar
This repetition has gone too far
Crossing the bar, crossing the bar
Oh no it’s the light!
Where’s the sunscreen jar?
And I’m thinking of chocolate
I’m drinking the chocolate
And everything I do has to do with chocolate
I’m eating the chocolate
I’m loving the chocolate
And the only word that rhymes with chocolate is chocolate.
The sensual chocolate
It brings me to tears.
I haven’t been laid in seven years
As I open my mouth for another bite
I pause to consider the Devil’s might
Dreams may pass
Dreams may die
But the taste of enjoyment
The darkness supplies
In my parent’s basement
I sit alone
My move out date
I will postpone.
And I’m thinking of chocolate
I’m drinking the chocolate
And everything I do has to do with chocolate
I’m eating the chocolate
I’m loving the chocolate
And the only word that rhymes with chocolate is chocolate
The only friend I know
His name is sadness
I’m glad I don’t live in a world of gladness
Society it seems
Does not understand
That they’re listening to the world’s gothest band
We’re darker than black
We’re deeper than hell
And the bodies that we live in
Are nothing but shells
And the chocolate it consumes me
It eats at my soul
And since Gory died
it’s all that consoles
And I’m thinking of chocolate
I’m drinking the chocolate
And everything I do has to do with chocolate
I’m eating the chocolate
I’m loving the chocolate
And the only word that rhymes with chocolate is chocolate
